Not local to Lismore, so after a little searching we decided on Mary G's for lunch.

No booking required, just waltz on in, pay and receive a buzzer that is somehow paired to your table when placed in the centre - so staff know where you are (never seen this concept before, impressed)

Food - OK. Not good, not bad. I was expecting deep fried from frozen product and this is what I received. Generous portion size for the money, the highlight for me was surprisingly the salad - it was light and fresh. The batter on the fish was a bit on the stodgy side and soggy. My wife's chicken schnitzel was "average" by her standards.

Service - Lovely. Fast, friendly and polite.

Atmosphere - certainly felt the old pub vibes, carpets could do with a clean though.

Ever since I found this pub, I come every month when I travel to Lismore for work. The events they hold are so much fun to be involved in or just watch, the food is amazing and the staff are so friendly. And their kitchen is open late! I love it. Their pizza is the best I’ve ever had, unfortunately I can only eat gluten free now and they don’t do gluten free bases though. 10/10!

Dined two weeks ago on a Friday night. The food and service were good. It was a little quiet in town everywhere but it was just after New Year's and it's school holidays so really not that surprising. And as we were leaving there were more groups of people walking in. And whilst dining there were quite a few tables in use and others sitting in the bar area. We had Pork Belly Bites for entree and the Mexican Schnitzel for main - both were absolutely delicious. Staff were good, music was playing and a gentleman was singing for a bit whilst we were there too - it had a good atmosphere. I'd suspect this would be a busy place outside of these circumstances. We will definitely come here again when in Lismore, glad I searched for dinner options in town and didn't opt for take out!

Went in for dinner. Lots of choices on the menu and the meal was very good. Very generous serves and tasty. Lovely decor with great staff behind the bar. Recommend

While I certainly miss the nightclub, I'm glad to see this place back and almost in full swing, the food here is also great especially since you can get takeaway!

I had pizza special, they gave me a spare garlic bread as complimentary and the cheese cake was superb. Sorry I smashed the cheese cake before a photo. I’m glad I came here to support this place.

Yummy food! Always get delivery meals which I think are a little pricey but when I dined in the meals were huge so definitely worth eating in! Delicious

Lovely vibe to this local hotel. Decor is old world but fresh. Go look for the 2017 flood level sign near the bar and be surprised! Food was as advertised- pub food done well. Great service, goods ambiance, prices are reasonable. I’ll do a General McCarthy...I will return.
